German measlesMeasles, a highly contagious viral disease, is the most common eruptive diseases accompanied by fever. Measles occurs between 1 to 3 years, when children are not vaccinated or are not immunized by their mother's antibodies. Incubation is about 10 days after infection and before the arrival of the first symptoms. The invasion lasted 4 days. The contagion is maximum 3 days before the start of the eruption. Measles lasts approximately for 1 to 3 weeks. German measles complications
Measles can be serious. Measles is relatively benign in developed countries, the adult is more severely affected than the child. It is a scourge in the countries development. The incubation period is the period between infection and onset of clinical signs. The clinical signs that suggest measles are fairly typical: a usually high fever, photophobia (that is to say an embarrassment to light), watery eyes, runny nose, diarrhea, cough ... and the appearance of a rash (at first behind the ears, then the face and whole body) which is a type of red spots slightly raised approximately 4 days after onset of signs. The patient recoveres in ten days. He appears tired and thin. Other measles complicationsThe complications are: ENT complications such as ear infections, pulmonary complications such as bronchitis or pneumonia. Indeed, the measles virus causes an immune deficiency, that is to say, a decreased ability to defend the body against microbes (chronic disease, malnutrition, ..)This fact leads sometimes to complications. |
